October 2006
This is a month of tying up a lot of loose ends in our personal life, in our business and career. It is a time of compassion, of patience and being aware and sensitive to the needs of others. It is not a time of selfish narcissism raising its head. This is a month of endings. What you do not need any longer (whether you know it at the time or not), will be removed. This is a month of losing friends, loved ones a job--understanding that everything has it’s own cycle of completion. This is a month, for some people, that looks as if their lives are being taken away from them. But nothing could be further from the truth. From time to time, the Cosmos takes what is no longer needed from us to REPLACE it with something we do need. At the time, it may not be pleasant or happy but a year or two down the road, you will see that it was necessary and your life will be better in the long term, so have faith in this process.
Pluto is still two degrees away from the Galactic Center, the intensity remaining the same as it did in September. However, Hades is directly opposite the GC and this is about dissolution and dissolving of things in our life (an attitude, an emotion, a perspective or way of seeing ourselves, people or the world around us) is continuing unabated.
Our economy is taking a hit this month since Jupiter is square Saturn. We are going to see a slow down. If you haven’t bought a small car that’s easy on gas, then with a big SUV type, gas prices may well inflate more around this time. Jupiter is too much of something and Saturn says: enough is enough and creates boundaries that stop the largess from continuing.
Saturn is trine Pluto all month, so there is going to be an opportunity to shed our ‘old skin’, much like a snake does, and have a nice, new beautiful one--if we go along with the transformation that these two heavy hitters are asking of all of us. If we do transform (a wise decision), this is simply putting us in the right time, right place to take advantage of the gift of this trine and receive what we need to be a better human being. It is a powerful spiritual time as well, so daily meditation can also help take advantage of this particular aspect, as well.
On October 29th, this is a world-altering day. We have Mercury, god of Communication, going retrograde in the sign of Scorpio. At the same time, Neptune, god of Spirituality, goes direct in Aquarius. This is a huge day of changes for Scorpio/Taurus people and especially Aquarius and Leo folks. This is not a good day for travel. Neptune rules floods, tsunami's and too much water going where it isn’t wanted. Hurricanes may be particularly bothersome around this time to the Gulf area. Or, excessive rain will cause flooding in different parts of the world. With Mercury going retrograde, confusion abounds and bad calls and decisions can easily be made. Pay attention to your intuition--it can lead you through this murky, muddy water kind of time to get you through safely.

October 2 - Yom Kippur A beautiful day to plan something joyful for yourself and others.
October 9 - Columbus Day It’s a holiday, but it has a lot of nasty aspects that can be harbingers to auto accidents, so be careful and drive alertly.
October 12 - this is a day to roll up your shirt sleeves because a lot will be accomplished in a short amount of time. Big results are coming.
October 27 - this might be a Friday where you plan to take it off and go do something fun with your family.
