At Medicine Garden, we have always kept our customer information private. Your name and address are never rented, sold or traded to others. Your phone number is used only for calls responding to your questions, for addressing problems with orders, or in response to requests you have made. The Athena mailing list information remains private.

Information we collect online and how we use it

You will find requests for customer information in the following areas of our site:

Checkout: Ordering online requires that you provide your name,address, email, credit card or check number and other information needed for completing your order through Pay Pal.

Also, when you visit our site, our web server automatically recognizes your ISP domain name, but not your email address or any other personal information about you that is not offered voluntarily.

In order to keep our site user-friendly and efficient, we also gather data and analyze information that tells us how visitors, in aggregate, use our site. That means, we collect information about how visitors as a whole move through our site, rather than analyzing information about you as an individual customer.

How we use email

After you place an order on our site, you will receive an email confirmation. You will receive this confirmation only if you have correctly provided your email address (required) during checkout (If you have spam-blocking software, you may not receive your email confirmation.) We may also use email to ask for clarification on an order or to let you know of a problem with your order. And, if you send us questions or requests, we may respond by email.

Information Storage and Security

When you order online from Medicine Garden, your customer information is secured through secure socket technology and Pay Pal's security technology. We also always use secure industry-standard encryption technology when transferring and receiving customer order-related data. Credit card transactions are handled securely by Pay Pal. We do not store any credit card information on the Medicine Garden's web site.

Cookies — what they are and how we use them

A cookie is a small file that we store on your computer. It contains a unique numeric ID based on your ISP browser. The cookies used are very limited in their functions. They allow you to leave and return to your Pay Pal shopping cart for a 24-hour time period. A cookie also allows us to gather non-personal information about how visitors move around and use our site. Cookies are not used to gather any other data from your computer. The only personal data we obtain is what you voluntarily provide when placing orders and making requests.
