Michael Richardson

Michael RichardsonHere is my bio for Athena. Let's begin with my third gout bout in Vietnam in 1968. After being told the pain was in my head, I explained to the doctor, "No, it's in my toe." It suddenly dawned on me they didn't know what they were talking about. But my dad had said, "You are what you eat," so I figured I was eating wrong for Vietnam, meaning I was eating like I was still in California. The climate wouldn't permit this. The diet was too rich, the climate too hot. Too much uric acid production! So, I stopped eating mess hall food, okay I did eat breakfasts of oatmeal, but I ate fish, rice and vegetables with the Vietnamese at lunch. The gout self-cleared in one week. This clearly showed there was a relationship between food and health that nobody had bothered to tell me about. To discover this relationship in full in 1969 we learned macrobiotics, and have been practicing this lifestyle ever since. I can eat anything, but I do it at all times with balance in mind. Since macrobiotics is based in Ayurveda, I studied it from 1978 onward. Being an electronic technician since 1972, I appreciated frequency in the human body as much as in electronic circuits - it's all frequency related and dependent. So my expertise is knowing how to eat with what's available, and then it's alimentary.

I married my high school sweetheart in 1969, had two children. My wife passed in 1988 from metastasized breast cancer after a modified radical mastectomy the previous year. She had not followed my eating habits until after the operation, yet, I feel she knew its value upon passing over. My son passed over in 1999. My daughter married and has three daughters. All my family is in California and understand my metaphysical bent. Dad was a Theosophist and I gleaned the most from it from 16 years onward. I got myself an Associate Arts degree in Electronics Technology/Industrial Technology from El Camino Community College in 1974. Being using Transcendental Meditation since 1968 as my older sister exposed me to his album on the Seven States of Conscious in Vietnam via a personal visit!

Enjoy scuba diving, astrology, chess, swimming, gymnastics, and tennis. Love conscious-expanding experiences, so am always learning, eager to pyramid my experiences.

nLight,

Michael Richardson
