The Background of Medicine Garden and the Athena Email List

Medicinegarden.com was created due to a vision and a goal that I've had for a long time. As a professional homeopath, I saw that remedies created from Nature could heal people. Because of my own Native American Metis background and growing up close to Mother Earth, I was taught from the time I could remember that plants can heal us.

Toward that end, I wanted to work WITH the plant spirits to create a line of flower essences that would help people, animals and plants. Working with the plant spirits rather than against them creates an synergy between me and the plants, which influences the outcome of the essences that I create. When both parties are going the same direction by a higher agreement; something is bound to happen that is wonderful. The outcome of this partnership is found in our essences. 

I have always love the Stone Nation! As a kid I used to run around on a gravel road stuffing my pockets with my new found 'friends' from the rock people. Similarly, I work with them the same way--with mutual agreement with the spirit of each stone. I believe that Nature can be our best friend and supporter if we respect it accordingly.

I have also tried to give information, either anecdotal from our customers or through homeopathic provings, on a certain plant or stone. This is an ongoing, 'forever' kind of thing. As we get more information, it will become available, so always check back with us to see what is new and informational. I believe that an informed person is an educated one. I don't believe in making fantastic claims. Instead it is best to let the plant or rock do the "talking', as well as letting our customers tell you themselves. 

This website isn't here just to sell anything or everything. If you love things from Nature that have been hand picked by me, then your visit here will be and enjoyable one. I spend a great deal of time hunting for just the right mineral specimens and rocks to share with those who have a love of them. We sincerely love what we offer to the public and hope that you will enjoy it just as much--or more--than we do! And most importantly, your health and support by things that are from Nature, is our focus. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.
